Best Memory For Me Is...??

Cheex

I'm temporarily getting a Pentium D 805 (i AM gonna overclock it).
I intend to get a Conroe later on when the prices come down and stabilize.

With that in mind...i need to buy some DDR2 RAM.

Questions:
1. How much do i need?
2. What speed?
3. What brand?

Any additional information would be appreciated.
Thanx.

when you ask questions like how much do i need, you should at least give a short brief of how much you use your computer and what do you do with it...

DDR2-667 would be fine for your system and the brand depends on your budget.

Thats per this guide: http://anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=2797&p=18

The other memory that was reconmended (Wintec) is not available on newegg and doesn't appear in anand's real time pricing engine. I personally only reconmend OCZ ram, mainly because it is guarenteed compaitable with ALL the high end boards and they have top notch support (including writing bios's in order for their ram to be compaitable). This is the same price as the A-Data after rebate:

here is all the OCZ DDR2 ram available at newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi...ption=&srchInDesc=&minPrice=&maxPrice=

I was curious about good DDR2 myself, and wow that A-Data can be OCed pretty damn well, especially for the cost. Does anyone recommend anything else? That OCZ looks like it should run at 800 no problem, am I correct in that assumption?
