Best memory card reader?

arent they all same?

Yes.

I've used both a Lexar reader and a reader bought from Sam's Club. The reader bought from Sam's Club was definitely a bit faster than the Lexar reader, but the difference is that the Sam's Club reader is now dead after a couple months of use and the Lexar is still kicking.

When buying a reader you also have to factor in size. I loved the Sam's Club reader because it was extremely thin and small, a perfect size for tucking inside a camera bag. The Lexar reader is fatter and not as good for tucking inside a camera bag.

The Lexar's a fine reader though. All things aside, it is still quite fast and still quite small.

Get on Newegg or (insert any other online computer parts store here), and just buy the cheapest one that says USB 2.0
I bought a 3.5" internal reader made by Vantec, and I saw two other, unbranded readers that are IDENTICAL, just without the vantec branding on the face plate.

If you're looking for a black floppy/media reader combo, STAY AWAY FROM MITSUMI. It wasn't compatible with my motherboard, and I only found that out after searching for hours on the net, where someone else had the same problem and contacted Mitsumi directly, and that's what they told him the problem was. My black Ultra, on the otherhand, works just fine.
