Looking at finally picking up a dvd-rw. What is the best media, meaning least coasters, for this drive. Should I go with + or -?

Edit: Or media that you have used in a 3540 that has worked relatively well.

These are some good discs that are cheap, yet they're high quality. You'll be able to burn them at 8x on the 3540 and 12x or 16x if you get good discs. You'll get either TY01 or TY02. The discs are out of stock right now, however, but expected back in stock soon.

I haven't tried any 16x disks, to expensive for my cheap ass. I think if I where to buy some I would try either Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. Still, at .65/.99 a disk, pft-I'll wait the extra 2 min!!

I've had GREAT success with 16x verbatim, which isn't too badly priced. No coasters yet, and i can get 16x no problems.

Look for Fuji 8x DVD+R media at Best Buy. Make sure these are MADE IN JAPAN (genuine Taiyo Yuden).
