Best MB under $150?

Looking for good motherboard for 1st time builder that will fit with 2500 Barton 512 ram and on that order. TIA.

any Nforce2 mobo will be under $150...A7N8X Deluxe, NF7S, Soltek board...read through reviews then pick what you want.

I have a Abit NF7-S and love it. The onboard sound saved me a couple bucks, and the ethernet and firewire work great also. Good all round board

This MB looks really good, but never heard of Albatron....🙁


EDIT: Confusion on specs on NewEgg site vs manufacturer. Does this mb have onboard RAID or firewire ports?

Yes, the board has onboard (SATA, not IDE) RAID and 2 firewire ports. I'm not using the RAID function so I can't really comment on it.

Albatron makes really sweet video cards, now has entered the mobo market.

Nf7-s theres no reason to go to anything else since this board has everything you could ever want, well maybe, and it is tested and proven to be good. For overclocking you cant go wrong with this board either.
