Best MB for X6800 Intel Dual Core 2 Extreme CPU??

Just got a INTEL X6800 Extreme CPU for Christmas. Now I need to get a motherboard. BUT? Which one? I've looked at the ABIT AW9D the ASUS P5W, etc. I will be using it 95% of the time with INTENSE vector graphics software (Illustrator, FreeHand, etc)

I currently have a P4 extreme CPU with ASUS MB, 2 Gigs of Ram, nVidia5700 video card and 75G Raptor (10K RPM) with 250 gig SATA drive for data. And I can crash it almost everyday with the renderings I am doing. I use a lot of USB hardware and need PCI slots, lots of them.

Any ideas. thoughts? Review of users and the motherboars that you bought and used that have a similar setup? Thinking of going to 4 gigs of DDr RAM and a Terrabyte of HD? Maybe run dual 150G Raptors in stripped RAID?? with a Terabyte of sotrage? Tired of having computers slower than me 🙂

Any help will be greatly appreciated. And yes I serached this forum already about suggested motherboards and after a half hour gave up and wrote this. Cutting to the chase, so to speak

Thanks that does help, though it was a LONG disertation to find 7 boards and their repective review. Helps, ............but..was looking for forum members who have actually assembled a system with a X6800. More of the " the I have tried this MB and I like blah blah blah, over wXYZ becasue of....????

Ya know what I mean?? But it did help.
