Best MB for Q6600?

This 170 opty rig is getting a little long in the tooth. I want to find a mb that will clock-up a Quad without all the Nvidia problems aka 650/680 chipsets. Does this mean 780 or bust?

I think you would be well served with a P35 (Intel chipset) based motherboard. I'm using the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R rev 2.0 mobo with a C2D E4500 without any problems for the past 5 months (see my signature).

agreed. p35 for stability, OC, ddr2, and penryn support across the board

edit: unless you're throwin those 2 7600gts in your upgrade.

No, the 7600GT's will have to go in favor of DX-10 cards. I was thinking later but maybe sooner is better. That brings us to another question of looking at Crossfire mb's like the X-38/48 also.
