my hp psc 2110 crapped out on me a week ago. I think its 2 or 3 years old. dosent print when you tell it to print something unless you press copy manually on the printer. Its like it dosent know its there or something. and when you turn it off and back on, it makes this horrible jamming noise that keeps going until you tell it to copy something.

Overall, i would not reccomend HP cuase i wanted it to last longer than this, but i guess that might be around how long a printer is supposed to last??

we have a HP downstairs...its an all in one job and thats never been right since we bought it. its always locking up, freezing etc. and it constantly chews paper, prints a shadow behind the first 5 words on every line, and always leaves 3 parallel vertical streaks down the paper when printing colour

i thought HP where meant to be good

looks like Canon is a good buy right now. But my 1st printer was an Epson and kept up with me for 5 yrs.

My latest is a Canon. I like it very much. My previous was an Epson which also served well but the cartidges were damn expensive.

Canon = master of inkjet (cheap ink, great quality)
HP = master of laser (cheap printers, great quality)

Don't consider anything else. And HP's all-in-one units are GODAWFUL. I know a guy that does HP support - and it's well known within the company that they're trash.

because people buy their $50 printers at K-mart, and are too stupid to return it when they break after 3 months, or don't know that the image quality sucks.

hp photosmart 7350.
Mine does an excellent job with everything, especially pics. The cartridges are easy to refill, too.
