basically, this will be plugged into a 1080p 50'' DLP TV via VGA so it has to have good analog input....

Also, everything wil be running @ 1920x1080, so I'm hoping thath there is somthing out there that can play anythign shy of h.264 @ that rez.

All i've found is an fx5200 and an ati 9550...anyone?

The HTPC has an 9MB integrated intel cipset btw:(

use the for sale/trade forum! You can pick up some great agp cards for super cheap there (recc 9800pro, 9700 pro, 9500, geforce 5 series, 6800NU for good band for your buck)

geforce 6200? i think it has dvi and vga and is a low profile card. if not, sapphire released their x1600 low profile cards, but i think that is only pci-e...

im guessing you are an agp guy since you are looking at a fx5500 and a radeon 9550...so the geforce 6200 would be good.

thanks.....I might be able to pull off DVI to hdmi so a good analog output might not be necessary ; I'm glad to hear that what you are posting is what I had in mind...

and am am still saddened at how few choices I have:(
