i have lower back pain, so am looking for a low, or even no impact aerobic excercise machine that works my whole body.

I saw this:

Gazelle Max

There's the Gazelle edge, elite, and max. Which to buy?

Or do you recommend something else?

Thx

Precor Ellipticals

I use these at the gym when i want to change it up from jogging. They have ones where they involve your arms in the motion as well. These might be more expensive than you were looking for but they're a great elliptical machines.

Around here that title is reserved for my soon to be hubby, lol, I love cardio :p

Ewww, that leaves an awful mental picture. ;)

lol, no worse than the visual of a pasty faced chubby nerd huffing and puffing on an elliptical machine while trying to thumb thru the latest issue of FHM ;)

Might I suggest a hooker who refuses to kiss. Very low impact, very much under $200:D

I looked into the gazelle. Don't bother. It works your hip flexors, not your quads and the real major muscles of the leg.

You could get an inexpensive stationary bike for that...

I would buy something used and in good shape then. A cheaper machine will likely be a poor ride or break often, and then you won't be using it :)

I've seen them for $50.

Good call! These are a great workout, as long as you can handle a little noise in your house.

at my old place of work, they paid for my gym membership. i tried the bikes, but preferred the eliptical. i dont know why, but i just liked using it more.

the gym elipicals work out the major leg muscles? why doesnt the gazelle?

also, the gazelle helps you stretch? (ie: do the split?)

and did you end up buying some other machine?

..I like my recumbent stationary bike. Burns calories like crazy and I can read or listen or watch something.
