I wish we did more art in public spaces.

True. I can appreciate art in the gallery, but it's highly unlikely, that I would visit it more than twice a year, while some art on my way to work would be very nice. It's irony how we tend to do more aesthetic work on places we visit so little.

Me too. If I had billions of dollars, I'd spend some of it supporting artists to do stuff like this.

Also: Museum station is the nicest one on the TTC, but it's still pretty ugly.

A lot of the stations in St. Petersburg are nice looking. I took a subway tour by myself back in '94 because I heard they were nice.
Probably not the smartest thing to do.

Moscow is the best one I've personally seen.

St. Peters for the women.

Funny to see so many HOT women (care of Nordic region) in mini-skirts with ultra dorky looking boyfriends. That shit wouldn't fly in the US. It's like Revenge of the Nerds movie where they rule over there.

They're going to replace a bridge on the interstate where I live. The proposed bridge was disgusting, just awful. So the people bitched and for literally the same price they have a pretty good design. It was just that no one cared and just chose the first design out of the "book"

Then I saw it is Toledo Italy. Stupid same names.

Here's Toledo's train station, incase you feel like being depressed:

Most TTC stations are quite run down. Especially on Bloor-Danforth. Like stepping into a 70s time warp.

I will say that although the Toledo station is nice, every other metro area of Naples is shit.

Im surprised they dont have any of the art from the Paris Metro 1 line. Each stop is gorgeous.

Who pays for those? Would Americans put up with that level of taxation?

This style of subway always makes me feel like "and now something bad is about to happen".

Reminds me of ninja turtles.

This is back when architecture had class and grandeur. Now everything attempts to take on a modern look, which in most cases either looks generic (best case) or terrible ( most cases).
