In your opinion what is the best looking game that you've seen screen shots for? Popular answers will of course include Gears of war, Crysis, and UT2007 but I'm sure there are others the rest of us haven't seen. Perhaps a game slated to come out way in the future that has a few amazing sneak peak screen shots?

Gears of war

UT 2007

Crysis

By best "looking" do you mean just graphics-wise? Because the most fun looking games in production in my opinion are Spore and Supreme Commander, neither of which are competing in the visual department.

I'm psyched about GoW. Co-op is going to be the sh|t.

UT2007 looks good, I just hope they decided to take some chances with the game this time around. And I REALLY hope they got player scaling fixed.

i'd say Crysis and Alan Wake are the best looking in terms of graphics. Alan Wake is pure beauty.

I'm liking Supreme Commander a LOT. It plays just like one would expect the predecessor to TA should, and looks amazing. Massive fights between hundreds of units are something that makes you say "wow... badass".

And for the guy who said SupCom isn't competing the visual department, I would have to disagree. Max out the settings and zoom in on the action, it looks pretty incredible to me. Of course it's impossible to accurately compare an RTS with a FPS in terms of graphics because they are so different though.

I am least impressed by Crysis. It looks good, but not great. Take away the foliage (which again is good, not great) and it looks very bland.

EDIT: I am really interested in seeing Alan Wake run on a 360 in-person.

Why is everyone foaming at the mouth for GoW? I just dont get it! After seeing trailer after trailer, all I saw was not that great of graphics, bland, grayish environments, and nothing new gameplay.

My votes for Crysis.

Crysis looks the best graphically.

With that said I'm looking forward to STALKER and bioshock more.

I do have a suspicion that in mid 07 Obilvion will get all those bits they removed as PC's will be able to cope much better then. While not a new game, perhaps a future expansion will make it look as good as anything else around at the time.

Spore does look like it's going to be great fun & as for Supreme Commander it is fun but with more variety of units (buildings class as units too) it would be awesome.

I agree on the GoW, it just doesn't have anything that impressive from what i've seen. It looks a lot like UT 2007 but with drab environments.

I always thought Project Offset looked pretty cool: http://www.projectoffset.com/

Crysis looks pretty great as well.

Project Offset, man i'd forgotten all about that. It does look so much better & should be a future GOTY.

Graphically it's Bioshock or Crysis, but artistically you could include Alan Wake in there. Although it (Alan Wake) looks like STALKER with DX9 and better textures engine-wise, I love that roadtrip atmosphere it gives.
