Need something to push a 5850 @ 1080p. I want a pc game that's fun but has some kick ass graphics. I want to be wowed just like when the first Crysis came out.

Then play crysis :p Its still the best looking thing around. Metro 2033 on high with DX11 will slow down a bit on that 5850 but it still wont look as good as crysis imo.

Metro 2033 is the only DX11 game with truly "kick ass" graphics. I personally can't stand the game.

If you can stand playing a DX10 title, try Just Cause 2. It's quite pretty and will give that 5850 a run for its money at 1080p.

Just Cause 2 looks good, but it won't push a 5850 at 1080p considering my 5770 has no problems running it at the highest settings with that resolution.

Yea I've yet to be wow'd since Crysis.

Not many games out there force me to grin out of sheer amazement while playing them through the first time.

As with the others here, I still think Crysis is the best looking game out. I tried Just Cause 2, and quite frankly found the horrible pop in, UT2k4esque textures, and awkward lighting to be down right hideous.

age of conan remain the best looking game i've played, despite dx10 giving minimal benefit over dx9. it's a shame that's all it has going for it.

Metro 2033 is stunning, but also has atrocious game play and easily max's out my 5970 when everything is set to Ultra.

I think BC2 still looks amazing, especially in the jungle environments.

Agreed. Too bad for all the shader aliasing.

If there was less aliasing it would be the best looking game right now IMO.

I don't get why people say it looks so good. It looks goos but not great. Also people are comparing it to Crysis which is laughable.

The thing that kills Metro 2033 even more than tessellation is Depth of Field. Turn that off and it'll help a lot with your fps.

IMO it does look better then crysis, because if we are comparing apples to apples, to get crysis running as smooth as BC2 you have to run it at high/gamer settings, and IMO the game doesn't look "that" good at those settings.

I've got no argument about cryengine and the incredible things you can do with it, but crysis at high/gamer just doesn't top BC2 imo.

BFBC2 Just Cause 2 Metro2033 Dirt2 HL2 with Cinematic Mod 10 GTAIV

Lot of games that look great and will give the 5850 a workout at that Res. GTAIV the worst looking of the bunch, but still a joy to play at high resolutions.

I could say to get BC2 looking as good as crysis it would run slower :p
