Best long-term, no-maintenance project?

Hi, I'm planning on building two computers for relatives and I convinced them to allow me to install a DC project on them. I'm wondering which project needs the fewest updates and are going to go on for a long time (I know some are ending within the year?). I was thinking SETI, does UD cancer research end soon or is that an ongoing thing also? Thanks for any info.

Seti would be a good one. Plus they could help the TeAm keep BBR behind us!
Just put on setidriver or setihide for them and use mofunk@myisp.com for the e-mail, otherwise those clients might not run correctly! 😉

If you need any help setting up with Seti, let me know!

I dunno about UD but I know there are no plans for SETI@Home to end anytime soon. Like MoFunk said, you can install SetiDriver on those systems and just let them work. 🙂

SETI works for me. I run it on my sisters machine which I dont have access to. She installed it on there and her technical knowledge is up to the level of 'running MSN and wondering why her machine was unstable...' 😉

Good project to run.

ah cool, I think seti it is and also I work for computer services in a library and they're getting 150 new pc's, i'm gonna see if i can convince my supervisor to put seti on there :Q😀

That would be great if you can get the 150 machines running seti but we would love to have you on the team with however many machines you have weither it be 1 or a 100 🙂
