Hey guys! I need a little help here... for those of you that are familiar with San Diego. I'm currently sharing an office in Mission Valley, but looking to get my own office soon. What do you think is a better area? Balboa Ave or Mira Mesa blvd?

The Mira Mesa Office is about 2 miles from 805 freeway in a really nice office building. The other office in on Balboa, right next door to the 24 hour fitness. What do you think is better in the long run for business? The one on Mira Mesa is a lot nicer building - the office is about 180 sq ft and has windows across the whole side. The Balboa one is nice because it's close to the 805.

I really appreciate your help with this. Assuming the rent price isn't the deciding factor.. where would you suggest I move my office?

Wow, i didn't know that the traffic was that bad on Mira Mesa blvd. I'm going to look at the Balboa office building tomorrow...

I guess it's more about convenience than anything else..

In your OP you state the MM is 2 minutes from the 805...little typo there. The 15 and the 5 is a mess after 3:30 or so and consequently, MM Blvd is too b/c people think if they switch freeways it will help. Or they live in Murieta/Temecula and have to switch inland at some point.

Also, if you're trying to grab San Diego, which is what I assume, as well as the East County, Balboa is a better location. Also, Balboa is not too far south for people in the North County.

I personally like the Mira Mesa area better... but Balboa does reach more communities.

what time do you usually leave work? I work in MM and leave around 7 pm. No traffic problems at all.

geckojohn, are you hiring any insurance apprentice for your new office?
i would suggest the balboe location next to the 24 hr fitness, since traffic is pretty bad on mira mesa blvd after 3:30-7pm.

Not sure where you live, but if I leave during that time, I get from MM to Mission Valley in about 45 minutes.

yeah, its a parking lot on mira mesa blvd. shame too, they have the fuddruckers and farrell's nearby. oh well, at least i have a fuddruckers now in mission valley thats a few miles from my work. too bad they closed down cj's barbeque pit a few months back, your location wouldve been nearby and thats some good eatin' (granted if you arent a vegeterian). but good luck with the new building/company (translation, hook it up with some nice rates for my car and house ;) ).

Yeah, I was actually thinking about that building next to 24 hour fitness - it's a great location and easy access. It's easy to tell people where you are located, since it's a familiar location...
