Hey guys... I've been getting the urge to put a linux disto on my laptop (which is currently running Win2k), however I don't know which one I should pick up? Here are my system specs:

Toshiba Tecra 8000
192MB RAM
233MHz PII
24x CDROM
4GIG HD
3com PCMCIA 10/100 LAN Card
Neomagic 256 2.5MB Vid
Yamaha Sound (can't remember exact model)

I need it to be real easy (I'm a newbie), and I also need it to connect to my router for LAN & internet access with my other machines (winxp & winME one). I guess it boils down to Red hat, mandrake and Suse.

Or maybe I'd be better off just sticking with Win2K?

Put "tecra 8000 linux" in google.com's search box and read the hits. You'll get all kinds of information on what hardware works, etc..

You can dual boot so you can have both operating systems on there. That way you get both win2k and linux ;).
