Best light weight laptop?

Hi, I'm looking to buy a light weight laptop, hopefully under 4 lbs. What would be the best valued choice out there? the TR1 from Sony looks nice but also got a nice $2g price tag, any other suggestions? thanks
 
light weight is always expensive. I dont understand they put less in em and charge ya more :\ Id say there is no cost effective lightweight laptop under 4 lbs right now. Your best bet would be to just get a big one like everyone else and when costs come down, then itll be reasonable. Either that or blow ure wad on a centrino but DONT i repeat DONT get anything with a crusoe chip in it. You will be very dissappointed. Also look at the small apple notebook if your into those.
 
Get a rebadged Samsung from Dell or Gateway. I'm disappointed with my Portege 2000, the harddrives Toshiba uses are really really slow.
