Best Light Armor in Oblivion...

I finally found out how to enchant items. Before i go enchanting my glass armor though, i was wondering if there is any better light armor out there.

Yeah but what about the already enchanted Armor you get in side quests. Has anyone found one that is definitely overpowering?

It seems to be random, but you'll find better stuff as you level up. The stuff that you find often has enchantments that are more powerful that what you can make on your own, but you won't always find armor that benefits you. I basically made a set of glass armor that I liked and then I slowly replaced each piece with better stuff as I found it.

Glass is the best light.

Your best bet is to enchant the armor yourself so you can tailor it to your style of play.
Of coarse if you run across something better, then just change it.

I have all my glass enchanted to my play type and works perfect for me.

Work your way through the mage guild quests. You'll get access to armor enchanting and spellmaking altars pretty early in the quest line.

thank you very much. Do I need to do that in a specific town? There's mage guilds in a few of them.

The best way

*SPOILERS* about mages guild.

Once completing the mages guild you become guildmaster of the guild.
This gives you access to the arch mages quarters in Imperial City.
In there are spell making alters and enchanting alters which you can use any time.

You also use Sigil Stones (Or the better ones from closing Oblivion gates) to enchant.
I recommend people spend some time over at http://elderscrolls.com/forums/
to learn about some of the more difficult things of the game.

I prefer my dark brotherhood armour still to anything in the game.. the robe and the leather stuff is crazy good.

Well i have done all the Mages guild stuff, and have enchanted some things, but i dont like wasting it when i could enchant something better. Also is there anyway to put 2 enchantments on an item? So far i know only of 2 ways to enchant an item (sigil stones and soul stones), and neither lets you select more than one enchantment to add on to an item.

According to the Strat. Guide, only a single enchantment can be used on worn items. For weapons I think it depends on your skill level.

i'm at level 12 and still using that armor.. it really beefs up a bunch of stats.

how do you use soul stones to enchant?

i've only used them to re-charge magic items.
