Best LED Monitor

What do you want to use it for? Gaming? Photoshop?

(You do realize you'll be getting an LED-backlit monitor, not an OLED monitor, right?)

Picked up a pair of ASUS VS247H-P at Fry's @ $189/ea for a client the other day. I was very impressed. 23.6", LED/LCD 1080p, HDMI, Slim/lightweight. Unlike many monitors, the jacks on the rear of the monitor exit directly out of the back (parallel to the ground). This might be an issue if, for whatever reason, you want to mount these flush against a wall. For my purposes, it was actually a feature, because they look nicer mounted on adjustable arm with the cables exiting closer to the VESA mount.

I'm curious as to why an LED backlight is high on your priority list? Cheap ones are usually not as good as the traditional CCFL backlight.

Because I want it 🙂

Is it better to get one of the new inexpensive IPS monitors or go for a more expensive TN monitor?

But WHY do you want it? As in, what advantages are you looking to gain?

As for IPS vs. TN, I'd go IPS any day of the week. For my purposes, the viewing angles are worth it by themselves.
