Best LCD TV to use as a monitor?

I currently own a Westinghouse lvm-37w3se and use it as a computer monitor. I absolutely love it, but I'm moving cross country and shipping a screen of this size (w/o damaging it) might be prohibitively expensive. Therefore, I might have to sell it here and replace it when I get to my new home. The question is, what should I get?

I was thinking of getting the same Westy again, but from a quick google search, it seems like no one sells it anymore. It's either listed as discontinued (buy.com, amazon.com, newegg.com) or way overpriced elsewhere, listed at $850 and up whereas I got mine a while ago for $700 w/ free shipping. If I keep looking, I might be able to track one down, but do you guys have suggestions for other TV's I should be looking at?

Requirements:

* Minimum 37"
* 1080p
* Good refresh rate (to handle fast paced movies & games)

Nice to have

* Good black levels (the Westy has crappy black levels)
* Matte finish
* DVI input
* Tuner

it depends a lot on whether you want a glossy screen, or a matte finish on
the screen.

i looked at some 1080p Samsung's a few weeks ago, but they were matte finish.

I use a Vizio VO32LF (32" 1080p). It's pretty good; got it for a good price. No idea how it compares to other TVs. There's probably a similar 37" version.

I use a 40" Samsung LCD as a monitor (LN-T4066F). Its nearly 2 years old now and havent had any problems. This Samsung at $850 free shipping sounds good. But for $50 more you can get the 40". Did your Westinghouse have DVI input? I rarely see DVI input on a TV usually just d-sub for PC input. But why not just use a DVI-HDMI cable? Hope this helps.

The Westy did have a DVI input, but yea, an DVI to HDMI cable shouldn't be hard to come by.

Sorry about that, must have had wrong tab open. Here it is. You didnt really give a budget so I just went with Samsung. I did see Toshiba has a 40" in the $600 range, dont know how good it is though.

then i suggest you DEFINITELY look at the monitor before you buy it.

i bought a Samsung LN32A650, 32" 1080p, with high expectations. Wrong ! mega-glossy. Custer should have used it as a shaving mirror, he would have seen Dustin Hoffman sneaking up behind him.

but seriously ... last time i was at Best Buy, i compared the Samsung LN40B530 with a few others. matte screen, glossy bezel, $899.
