My wife and I just bought a new house, and we have quite a bit of dough left over from the sale of our prior home. Amazingly enough my wife gave me the go ahead to use a bunch of that money for a new home theater A/V setup (maybe not surprising, as she watches more tv then I do).
Anyways, gimme your ops for the best sub $4k 46-50'' lcd/plasma tv's that are currently out or will be out in the near future. Here are some specs to help guide your opinion:
We'll be seated ~6-9 feet from the tv
It will be in a relatively brightly lit room (leans towards lcd)
but we use our tv to watch movies a lot (leans towards plasma)
1080p is a must
On a related note, has anyone actually viewed any Sony KDL-XBR4 tv in person? Does the 120hz motionflow technology make a big difference? I am enormously sensitive to motion blur (literally makes me ill), so to me that is a big negative re: LCD's (although motion blur is not as much of a problem as it once was)
