From what Ive been told, and know from experience, LCD's are actually bad for gaming due to there response time being slow (This is from what I hear) And if your playing FPS thats what its all about, It could mean the difference of your aiming hitting and not hitting.

I use a Laptop atm while I wait for my comp, (been using it for 1 year) As soon as I switched to a CRT (WCG canada) my LG (Lightning Gun in Ut2003) Went from 32% to 44%. I dont know if it was luck, but the shots didnt seem fluked. I heard there are quick response LCD's but I still have to do a bit of research on those, my guess is there expensive.

I think that this might be better. Sony has a lot of brightness on that 400 cd is insane compared to all the ones that I've looked at. You might want to check that first hand before making a choice, but the comarison is definitely close. I'm guessing that because the higher end ones don't have that high of a brightness, it may be a typo and can be overlooked because the priemierepro lacks it. Based on this, i would choose the viewsonic.

I have the Hitachi 17" CML-175sx and it has a 16ms responce time, absolutely no ghosting whatsoever with everything maxed.
A LCD with a 16ms respnce time is very fast indeed.
