Best LCD for $600?

i am interested in getting this sony. It has 22ms response time, which from what i understand, is pretty good. I like that it is widescreen, as i watch quite a bit of movies. I also do a little gaming...vice city, MOAH, etc. Is this a good monitor, or can i find something better for $600?

If i was you, i`d get a 16ms 17" TFT. They are perfect for games.
I have the Hitachi CML174SXW (17", 16ms), and its great for any type of game.

so boom, you have no ghosting? what about movies?

the sony, which i decided not to get was their widescreen version 17" with 22ms response time.

No ghosting, trails, anything. Everything that people say TFTs have wrong with them, are not on 16ms TFTs.

Movies look great. The extra sharpness makes it look pretty good.
I hav`nt got a dead pixel on mine, the store that i brought it from, OC UK, before i brought it, i asked if they have ever had any dead pixels with them, and they said that they`ve never had any.

17" lcds are the only ones with the 16ms response time correct?

well, i got the viewsonic vp171b. Got good reviews and has 16ms response time.
