Yup. I agree with you and Craig on the prosecutors. I like Sam Waterson a lot but Moriarty was better. The show also seemed to have a more intense feel in those first few seasons.

I followed SVU the most but the first few seasons of Criminal Intent were outstanding. Vincent D'Onofrio was a great actor for that part.

I could never get into VDO... I don't know if it was him or the character, but he just came across like such a douchebag that I couldn't take it.

I felt the exact same way about The Closer.

I'm a huge L&O fan, but CI was borderline unwatchable with D'Onofrio's manic overacting.

The original will holds up nicely so far, but I understand the sentiment. I feel that way every time I see Matlock or Perry Mason while channel surfing.
