Hard to rank them, because Conan is funnier but I would say less "classy" than Letterman. They kind of appeal to different audiences, or at least different kinds of things that I like to watch.

I picked Letterman, though, because I'm more likely to watch him.

Letterman > Conan > Kimmel > Craiggers > Leno

Leno blows....he just rehashes the same tired crap and rips off the other shows. Like anyone really believes the Jay-Walking segments anymore. At least with Letterman, you know he's not trying to pass something off as legit when it's not. And I love his self-depracating humor. If I hear Jay joking about how much pot his band smokes once more I'm gonna go postal.

I think it depends on what "generation" you are for the most part (are you an old fart?).

One of my friends who is my age prefers Letterman where as I like Conan.

I cannot laugh at Letterman's brand humor at all and I hate smitty as well

I also like the musicians in the same way
max weinberg is hilarious along with la bamba
kevin eubanks is alright and he has his moments

i dont know the musicians on Kilborn or Kimmel
also i thik adam corolla was way funnier than kimmel
