I'm looking for a home-use laser printer that prints both sides, duplex. Since it's for home I don't want a large, expensive printer, but would like high quality of course. Recommendations? Thanks!

Hey there,

My parent's HP 960 I believe it is.......it's been a while, prints both sides. It costed $150 retail (CompUSA).
I would double check on that, but I believe that info to be correct. I never got the chance to try it since I don't
live with my parents. Had to upgrade them from a Canon Bubblejet 610...I believe. That thing needed a retirement
ceremony. ;)
Hope this helps out :).

EDIT...Sorry this printer uses ink. But still does Double-sided...and FYI

The least expensive one I know of is the HP LaserJet 2200dse for about $750 from Staples.com. It's really too bad that laser printers with duplex capability are so much more expensive than standard ones.

2200dse is a solid choice. Small fast and cheap to run. 100 dollar toner w/ 5000 pgs @ 5% coverage. I had a 2100 at work and it was nice, 2200 is a big improvement. Look around and you may find a good deal, maybe you will find a refurb.

I bought a lexmark optra s 1855 with duplexer from ebay for $250. Great printer and great, longlasting, cheap generic toners everywhere!

I see that there's a Panasonic KX-P7105 on pricewatch right now for $299.
It looks like a good printer and I think I'm going to get one. I'm looking for reviews right now.
It does 15ppm, 1200x600 dpi, auto duplex, has 16megs expandable to 48megs, paper cartridge adjusts to all shapes and sizes, 4000p at 5%, and is usb/parallel. If you want ethernet, then I would look at the KX-P7110, which is basically the same as the 7105, but looks like it has ethenet too but it costs over $100 more.

If it is as good as it looks, it will be a wicked deal.
