Best laptop for someone is not a gamer?

I recently bought this Lenovo Ideapad for my wife and she is overall happy with it. She is not a gamer but does watch Netflix HD, Facebook/general surfing, Office type stuff like Word and Outlook, and so forth. For the $500 price tag it is a nice laptop that gets the job done but it does have its drawbacks. Mostly to do with the shell of the laptop showing wear not the hardware inside.
