Best LAN games to play with friends

Me and my roomates are just desperate for some fun games to play , with like 3 or 4 players. Any good suggestions?

For just a few people I personally like UT the best. You can always toss in a couple custom bots to fill things out.

Baldurs gate is a fun one... especialy if you are in the same room...

Worms and UT. I personally love Bomberman if you've got a console handy. My friends and I played 8 people on Saturn before. Man it was total chaos!

WWP or Worms Armageddon are great games to play with friends. Shoot, I wasted dozens of hours playing with myself

Hrmm RTS types of games.. like sc and broodwar, aoe2(stupid teutons). If you are all hooked up to a snazzy outside fast connect go own some newbie servers in any fps game. Those are always fun . Oh wait Serious Sam 2 for a LAN, mass chaos

Worms is great Three of my friends and I break out the laptops and play some worms world party during our long breaks between classes

It's either Blood 1 or Blood 2 that was an awesome game that me and my brother could play for hours and days. The original Duke Nukem was pretty good too.

Driving games are also a riot with only a few people. We ended up playing a lot of Colin McRae 2 at our last LAN....the head-to-head aspect of racing games makes for excellent trash talking opportunities.

DUNGEON SIEGE!!!

When I went to UF for 3 days to visit my best friend up there, I brought two of my other friends and all we did there is played Dungeon Siege. DUNGEON SIEGE. THAT'S IT! It was soooo much funn.....

Serious sam 2--there is a good idea.

I would play RTS with them, but they hate playing with me, because Ive owned and mastered Starcraft since 1998, and any RTS game that is remotely similar to starcraft I can usually pick up a lot faster than they can. And then they quit. Losers.

FPS games are most fun to play with friends... sometimes RTS games are good too... but I really enjoy FPS games like Q3/UT2003 at a LAN.. so much fun!!!

I gotta second the driving games (although I am a self-confessed racing nut who is addicted to racing sims!)

- Nascar 4
- Dirt Track racin and DTR Sprint Cars is a HOOT against human opponents.

and for good 'ol "Road Warrior" type fun, NOTHING beats a LAN session of INTERSTATE 76!!!!!!!!
Load up those vehicular weapons and have a MAD MAX shootout with your buds (It is fun to drop a landmine and see your friends car explode into the air in your rear-view mirror!)
