depends on what your looking for as far as onboard accessories
i like the epox 8k3a/8k3a+, fast, stable, not too expensive, very little extra stuff i don't want
8k3a+ is the raid board (around $100) and also adds diagnostic leds
8k3a is around 70 if you don't need raid
they don't have firewire/usb2.0/lan onboard, but it has 6 pci slots so you can easily add anything you need
oc's well, tons of tweaker options in bios, one of the top performers in the roundups i've seen

Thanks! I think I want USB 2.0, though. The guy we're building this for really wants alot of USB, so that may become important to him in the next year or two even if it isn't now.

MidiGuy, keep in mind that a USB 2.0 card is around $25.00; for that amount of money added to the cost of the EPoX 8K3A+ you'll be quite pleased w/ the results
