Best iPOd software for Windows?

iTunes is almost on par with RealPlayer for bloatware size. Is there a clean, advance-function and small iPod utility to transfer songs, sync, and all that?

i find nothign wrong with itunes. if your'e so anal, just use windows explorer and navigate to the folder that has the mp3s and just manually copy them!! although i doubt that'd work, i'm sure ipod somehow catalogs its music.

itunes is pretty damn great piece of software, considering it's a single program that
1) plays music
2) manages the ipod
3) shares music acroos a network
4) handles purchases from the itunes store
5) misc, playlists, media library handling, etc.

personally, i use winamp 5 to play my music. however, i find that itunes is great for managing my ipod and itunes purchases

don't forget that it burns CD's too, either MP3 cd's or music CD's.

yeah, iTunes.

I guess I'll be the first one to say MMJB 😛 I haven't tried ephrod or iTunes (didn't I hear about iTunes fvcking up peoples tags a while back?) though. I simply haven't needed to. I've never had a complaint with MMJB so I have no reason to go looking for different software.

That's just it. It does too much and is bloated.

itunes is awesome if you have an ipod and only deal with aac and mp3.

hell if i didnt rip into mpc, then i'd use ipod soley.

some people are working on an IPOD plugin for foobar. looks good so far.

thats only if you let itunes move and organize your files for you. Its not exactly clear on what "organize" means at first... which is why i didn't do it.

as for ripping.. i still rip w/ lame... i dunno if i want to be tied down to itunes to play my music. that'd kind of suck if they even stopped development (i don't particular like the whole we're barely makin even on itunes thing...).
