If you're an overclocker, the Q6700 is a horrible value, because they don't overclock any higher than the Q6600's. If you aren't an overclocker, it's a good value, since it's more than 10% faster than the Q6600. Don't forget, though, that all of the 45nm's have SSE 4.1, which can give a fairly serious boost to video editing/conversion, depending on which software you use.
