Maybe... I have built with both and frankly, I could not tell the difference in any applications Sometimes 10 bucks puts you over budget. It was amazing to me also due to the fact I had just built a entry level workstation with a i7 4790k and nothing earth shattering vs it either, when looking at comparable use outside of rendering applications. I'm just saying...
I think we are both right, it's just a matter of intended usage, budget, and perception of value between some very close competitors.

BUT (always with the big but, lol) the OP did say $200, so...

I think so too crashtech, you give great advise and I'm happy you didn't take it wrong or I was being argumentative.

OP should be able to make a great decision based on the info in the thread.

Funny thing is, im still running a pentium 4 workstation... lol. I build much better computers for everyone else but at the end of the day, it still works for me but I only I use high quality components. I don't mind doing a render and going to bed.

I just received a Super Micro X9DRG-QF board with a case at a great price. There is nothing wrong with it, I assume the memory selection was wrong. Anyway, its the foundation for my rendering.
