Hi

I'd like to know about the sis 650 chipset. I heard that that is the sis integrated chipset for the p4 at the moment. Are there any motherboards out with that chipset and can anybody tell me about their stability. I'm looking for a stabil integrated chipset for the p4 but would like to avoid an expensive intel 845G if I can find a cheaper, stabil alternative.

Thanks

VIA and ATI (yes, you read correctly, ATI) are both releasing integrated P4 chipsets this year. I'm not sure on the time frame though. Stability is still an unknown of course. I expect the 845G to be exceptionally stable, it's due out in April, and rumor has it the integrated graphics will compare with a Nvidia MX400 vid card. Not too shabby if it lives up to expectations and likely a case of getting what you pay for.

Hi

Thanks for all the replies. I also saw on Anandtech news that Aopen has a board coming out using this chipset. Would I be better off going with AOpen in terms of stability or are the ecs/pcchips boards fine? I won't be overclocking.

Thanks
