I know you all have opinions so don't hold them back. I am looking to build an inexpensive computer and I need a good motherboard with integrated video/sound/LAN, 10/100 LAN is very important. I was thinking about a celron processor on and 810e chipset motherboard but am open to all suggestions. By the way how is the Intel D810EMO?

Thanks for the help and don't be afraid to voice your oppinions.

For $127 you can get the D815EEAL, which will give you alot more for not that much cash.

I stress again that cheeper is better and 10/100 LAN onboard without any extra equipment is a must.

Look for the intel CA810 motherboards w/ the SB64 sound, Intel video, and integrated NICs. Very nice boards for the money. They also have built in ATA/66 controllers. You should be able to find these boards for around $70 or so.

I have also had very good luck with Tekram motherboards. Here is a $40 board that has built in sound, ATA/66, on board video w/ 4 meg on board.

Here's the link.

Beleive it or not, I found a good one from BCM, the in810, with no lan, I know it was important to have that, but the cool thing about the BCM was that the video ram was dynamic, based on what is being used by the computer needs. I got it for 79.99 and add a cheapo $5 lan, you still got a sub 100 board. I have heard some really bad stuff about BCm, but I had no problems what so ever. Another board you might want to check out is the Tyan S2420 Tomcat i810ef. I got this board too, but at 109 with a $10 off coupon. it has all you wanted and was a solid board for an entry level workstation.

I did some looking around and it seems that the board you had asked about has no Ps/2 ports. It has four usb though. Everything you use must be usb. Just FYI...
