The 260 requires 2 6-pin power connectors. If you want to SLI them then you'll need a PS with 4 6-pin power connectors. For 1 260 I think that 550w will be more than enough. I'm running a 600w GameXtream SLI-certified PS with 2 8800GTs in SLI with no problem. You want a PS with many amps on the 12-volt rail(s).

ATI HD4850. I upgraded from a 600/900 8800GTS 320MB and I noticed a substantial improvement at 1680 x 1050. They are really cheap now too.

I personally would go for at least a GTX 260 (they are being phased out, so they are dirt cheap) or even a 4870.
The G80 320MB 8800 GTS isn't really that slow compare to a modern entry level card like a 4850/9800GTX (rebranded G92 8800GTS) due to its superior 320-bit memory interface on the G80 model 8800 series.

the 4850 is really cheap and the performance gap is enough to be felt over the 8800gts320
