Best In-Dash Car Audio for less than 200.00 ?

I know nothing about cars. Don't own one myself - never have. This person has late model BMW, four door, compact-ish, and not the large sedans. Any recommendations would be mucho appreciated ! Thank you.

when i have a definite idea like this !?!

i feel so proud of myself for FINALLY coming up with an excellent gift idea that fits the person's need and personality . . so why resort to gift cards ?

Double din or single din? Are you sure that he can just get a deck and won't have to do some pretty crazy wiring to get it to work? I am a big alpine fan... so anything alpine.

thanks.

the crutchfield site knows to ask a number of questions about the type of vehicle which the reciever will be installed in. other sites i've visited do the same.
the less wiring the better, ofcourse. so far i've found that only single din receivers are appropriate. thanks again.

I like the kenwood 532u/632u/832u
They have USB input that works with external drives of any size. It can only run drives that draw up to 500ma but you can get around that if your drive has a secondary power input and most do. They start at around $130 and go up to $250 or so depending on model and where.

i got a panasonic one fro like 129 or somethign from crutchfield a few months back.
had cd, radio, and a aux port for my mp3 player.
