Finally! A hardware based RAM drive that is transparent to the OS. The only thing better would be a PCI-Express version of the same thing (mainly because I am out of PCI slots 🙂).
So what would be the best use of such a beast? Set the pagefile on there is my vote for a primary application. Perhaps tranfering CD image files on there temporarily would be a nice application as well for games. Don't know if I'd trust my OS on there just yet, but you could always Ghost the OS if you wanted to turn off the computer for over 16hours. I've already thought about RAID0 on these with PCI-E. Now that would just be sick.
