Best HS/Fan for 1.8A P4....noise and cost aren't issues.

Hi guys,

I'm new here, but had some questions about cooling. I was a die-hard intel buff for a while, switched to AMD, and now I'm back over to the intel side. Anyways, I've been trying to find some nice HS/Fan combos for the P4, but was unable to find any real input from people. That said, I'm looking for something that is effective. Like the title says, noise and cost are not an issue if it means that my CPU will be cool. Thanks in advance.

Most AMD guys prefer the AX-7, and now there is an AX-7 for the p4. See here

Just add a fan which puts out 35cfm or more and your set. Of course more cfm the better it'll cool but then sound will become an issue.

Another very good solution is the Volcano 7+. It fits either and AMD setup or a P4 with the included adapter. Comes with a 3-speed controlled fan.

Or this one, arguable the best-

Alpha

They can sometimes be found a little cheaper elsewhere, but I've always done well with 2cooltek.

There is the swiftech P4 hSF. I think it is priced at about $65.
