Best House pet to get?

I wanted to get a house pet, no dogs or cats allowed, anything else goes. Fish are too boring, not interactive enough. The only thing I can come up with are birds. Any other ideas?
 
There's a turtle in a tank at my girlfriend's. The damn thing swims over to the edge to glare at me everytime I visit. I think he wants to kill me and eat my spleen. :Q
 
Chinchillas maybe? ive heard they are super friendly as pets, though i have never had one. My ex had a rabbit, he was pretty edgy, took forever for him to trust you enough to pick him up and pet him though. From what I understand chinchillas are like smaller rabbits that are much more sociable

If your looking for killing action, get a ball python, easy pets to care for and will squeeze a mouse so hard its eyes will pop out of its skull. Boa constrictors are similar, though ive heard not as friendly when large enough to kill a human as the pythons.
 
i saw a 15 foot fish tank the other day in some executives home. whole buncha fish. you can stare at a fish tank for hours on end and never get bored.

i want a baby tiger =(
 
Cockatiels are interactive, so if you do get a bird, get one of those. Other than that... Spiders? Ants? 😀

If your landlord comes to visit, just unleash them and say -- I have a terrible ant problem! 😉
 
Chinchillas sound like a good idea, although I think I'll skip the python/boa idea. I heard that cockatiels are good pets too. Maybe I'll get a huge spider and just cuddle with that.
 
All animals other than dogs stink like animal shyt. 🙂

My friend has a hedgehog that is litter box trained though... it is kind of neat.

Chinnies! They're tough to take care, but if you have the resources, go for it! 🙂 I've always wanted a chinny, but the CA weather is too warm for them. I'd need to give them their own air-conditioned room 24/7.
 
It's usually the size of the fish or the size of the tank that makes it boring, I guarantee if you watch a school of 100 little fish interact or have a few foot long Oscars in your tank you wouldn't find them boring or non-interactive.

I can stare at a 50" HDTV for hours and never get bored. Much better way to spend your money IMO!!! :laugh:
