Best home theater audio setup for around $500?

I'm finally looking to get some decent audio to match my 50" plasma. I'd like to pick up a decent system and pay around $500. I'm open for a HTIB system or a build-your-own system.

This will be in a 15'x12' room. I'd like to get something with atleast 1 HDMI input (2+ would be best) and HDMI switching would definitely be nice.
Any suggestions?

Onkyo HTIB would be my first thought.

$400 will get you a 790 set.

EDIT: oh, you changed your requirements...

Pretty much any budget receiver isn't going to anything other than switching of HDMI if it has HDMI inputs. Why do you want HDMI on it?

I'd like to run everything into the receiver and just have one HDMI connection out to the TV. I'm hooking up a cable box, my PC (via HDMI), PS3, and Wii.

A receiver that converts other inputs to HDMI is going to be hard to find in your pricerange

Onkyo HTIB (if it has enough digital inputs for you) plus a HMDI switchbox for your PC, PS3, cable.

Even $400 receivers typically only have 2 HDMI inputs not 3.
