i need a heatsink/fan that can cut this stuff out.. my processor is very hot temp.. 150 degrees farenheit or 60 degrees celcius.. i have a volcano series.. can't remember exactly what model i think it's around 6-8.. but i have a althon xp 2000+.. and it's way too hot then what it should be, can anyone direct me to a good buy for a good heatsink/fan combo that will cool this thing down? i dont' really want to go to water cooling unless necessary.. thanks

Best? im gonna assume you mean the best cooling potential.. If you ask me.. I would go with a ThermalRight SLK-947U With a Vantec Tornado 92mm Fan...=Ubah cooling :)

Depends on what you want. Decent cooling at quiet, then go for Zalman. Awesome cooling at awesome sound, then go for SLK-947U with a Vantec Tornado@full speed, but watch out your damage to ear.

the Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu works with the Socket 462 Athlon's, very quiet and superior cooling

I would go for an SLK 900a the 47 and u dont offer anything for the extra price.

I would put either a panaflo l1a on it you want quite, or a vantec tornado if you want extreme cooling.

I agree with johnbear get a slk 900a (I think they're still 19.99 at svc.com) and if you want a good compromise between performance and noise grab the 92mm panaflo H1A.
