there's about 1 inch between the top of the stock AMD heat sink fan and the bottom of the power supply and another bar that goes across.

it's about 4 inches total height space. i think a Zalman 7000 Cu would fit.

the temptations of the Conroe and the Intel micro ATX 965 board are calling me.

zalman will fit fine

if you dont mind cutting the bar and removeing it then you can go to a bigger heatsink

for conroe matx boards the ones i have seen available dont oc well or dont at all .

HUGS !! that's Huge :D

right now i have an Opteron 175 and an MSI 6150 uATX board in an X-Q Pack.
no need to get a different heat sink for it, with a Seasonic 430 fan & Mushkin
2-2-2, it is stuck at stock frequencies.

BUT - i had visions for about a half second of fitting a Zalman 9500 in there.
then reality set in.

i think the Zalman 7000 Cu is a beautiful heat sink. part of my career i've
designed heat sinks & i'm jealous of the guys that designed this.

A Zalman 7000 with definitely fit in there (I'm running one).

Depending on your mobo layout/CPU location, you might be able to squeeze in there 7700 - height wise, it'll fit - it's just the sidewall proximity that may be a problem.

The Zalman "flower" style HSF's do look nice, agreed. Just wondering - why don't we hear about the TT Blue Orb's anymore? Weren't they out earlier?
