Best HDMI Switch? (4K/60 4:4:4)

Ok, I give up. I would like a new HT receiver. Trouble is I have now listend to just about everything I can find in the $2500-$3000 range and I can find nothing that touches to audio quality I get from my current Receiver, a Yamaha RXZ-11. Listened to an AVR-X7200 an hour ago and..it was...nice, but certainly not better, and if you put the Z-11 on top of it, it'd be crushed. So it seems I am rather out of options (further, I am not super keen on spending north of $3000-$3500 and to really get into quality separates, I'd need more dough).

So then, the item I need is an EXCELLENT HDMI Switch as the Sony 665 projector has but a single HDMI (2.2) input. So, any ideas? (I suppose I'd like to spend $250 or less if possible) on a 4K HDMI switch? 4 ports would be nice....

With HDMI it either works or it doesn't. There's no "EXCELLENT" other than longevity. My Monoprice switch didn't break for the 2 years I used it...but I'm not as sure about others.

Your better off buying source components that have two HDMI outputs. Feed one to the projector and the other to the AVR. Mostly watch BluRay or streaming video for 4K sources. Sony BluRay player and a Roku does the trick and no messy switch to deal with.

Well, for Computer thats all well and good (and how I am set up now, one HDMI to projo, one to AVR). With an XBOX One X and PS4 Pro coming soon....dual HDMI out is...less of an option.....

Both of those have spif outputs which does get you DD 5.1, the streaming channels don't have HD audio yet. UHD BluRay does have HD audio and the Sony x800 includes two HDMI outputs for that purpose. Not sure why you need two different gaming consoles though. 🙂

Not...sure........what???!! I'll wager you arent a gamer? Minus my Dreamcast (may it rest in peace), I have pretty much every major console since 1986 connected (though NES stuff upscaled to 4K is a bit....odd).

Not certain how I'd play Forza AND Gran Turismo if I only had one or the other. Last of Us and NBA 2K18 with an Xbox controller (PC version of course being quite stripped down)......

I suppose I am a big enough fan of the authentic experience that playing NES...Genesis.....SNES.....Gamecube games via emulators is just, not what I'm after. So, it'll be every console for me thx (and the PC with dual 1080 TIs as well of COURSE).

Seems the general consensus is Monoprice. I have never tried one of their switches but, never had an issue with most of their other products so I'll give it a shot!
