i was asking about a 60GXP...told him i wanted the best hdd to oc with..one that could take a pci bus of 41+..this is what i got in return....

What are you doing with it? The IBM 40GB drive is the best one on the planet at the moment so it doesn?t really matter what you want to do that would be my recommendation. I know it works kick butt for DV editing and such amongst other things. If you are not happy with it you can always bring it back. I would love for you to show me if there is a better drive out there though because I am not currently aware of one.

Your first mistake was asking Superdell instead of here @ the General Hardware forum

He must not have a very large/good R&D department, he is always looking for outside opinions :)

I've said it before, and again i will say this: I have 2x75gxp's in RAID-0, and have never had a problem.

WD's 100 GB/7200 RPM/8 MB cache...my reply yo whats a faster drive...

his reply...

We tested that drive as well as the 120 and the new Maxtor ATA-133 drives and the IBM 40 is still the best. What are you using it for?
