Hi,

I need to replace my router. Could anyone recommend a fast but inexpensive hardwire router that I can pick up on eBay? I prefer to pay less than $50 and it is just for one computer. Please include the model number.

Thanks!

ayane

P.S.: it can be used or refurbished. thx!

Do not spend too much time to look for Wire only they cost the same as Wire/Wireless and No new designs was Done in Wire only for many years.

This less than $50, No ebay risk, and it is very good.

Thanks for the recommendation, but why? Isn't hardwire the stablest and faster than wireless?

Will this Buffalo model let me use a wire cable? I have never used wireless.

if you have no need for wireless, simply disable that feature and strictly use the wired capabilities.

at least you know in the future, if you choose to go wireless, its an option.

Hmm I think that you are Not clear on the point.

We are Not trying to convince you to use Wireless.

The issue is a simple $$$ and sense issue.

Entry level Wire Routers have 4 RJ-45 ports, and their design is old since there is very little demands for them.

Wireless Router have both 4 wired (RJ-45) ports as well as Wireless Access Point.

There design is more up todate, and because more of them are sold they cost the same as wire only.

So the suggestion is; Buy a Wireless Cable/DSL Router, use the wired ports, and switch Off the Wireless.

Howvevr if it would make you more at ease.

This is one of the Best wire only Routers.
