I have a 3 bay (3.5") setup for the hard drives. In the top I have an older cool drive, but it will be replaced with an IBM which I expect to get fairly warm. At the bottom it's got an IBM which does get quite warm. The middle is empty. How best to keep them BOTH cool? My current IBM drive will start to hiccup if the apt. gets too warm and I'm playing a lot of MP3s off of it. (...lousy temp. regulation in my building, and the case temp is fairly warm too because of my overclocked CPU, Voodoo, and Sound Blaster.)

Quietness is also a virtue.

I've already got a case fan at the front blowing in below the drives, and 2 case fans blowing out at the back, as well as the p/s fan blowing out at the back.

P.S. The case is an Aopen HX08 so actually the two case fans at the back are in a separate compartment. Not the greatest air flow. This is my case. I am talking about the 3.5" bays at the front. I've tried moving the drives to the top compartment at the rear because my ATA66 cables are too short. I suppose I could go ATA33, but somehow that just doesn't seem right. :p

I use old 486 cpu fans which are silent.I have one cable(or zip) tied to the drive frame on the side.It blows across two of my h/ds.Any good small fan will do the job.
