I think you need to consider upgrading your power supply. 220w is NOT enough power for a system with an HD 5570 video card. Go ahead an ignore the manufacturers recommendation for a 400w PSU - it is more than is needed if you have a GOOD psu.

But look at this review.

With the system using 211w, that is just too close to your theoretical 220w to be safe to operate. Even if both numbers are right, there are too many things that can cause changes in either one creating the possibility of significant damage. And that assumes you have a Good psu - what one do you actually have? Many low end systems placed in store bought systems have weak PSUs and/or inadequate power to the 12v circuit.

211W at the wall = 180W actual system draw. And those are Furmark numbers.

They are also using an overclocked i7 965 Extreme on an X58 mobo, which is probably using more power his Gateway's E6700 platform would.

yes i looked at that review as well then checked the test setup.. he has a e5500 compared to a quad core overclocked i7 so i figured he would be safe. NOt alot of choice. the psu is a special one so not like i can just slap a spare 700w in and be good id have to find a small one and swap the guts. (which is doable but hes poor i prob do that eventually but buy a used 5570 on ebay for about 50 for now if i can)

Thnx for inputs much appreciate.. also regular game is not as bad as a futuremark stress test.
