best Gym to go to in LA?

Anyone have any suggestions for gyms in the Santa Monica/Venice area...I live right near a Bally's but i have heard bad things about them and was wondering about any other suggestions....I have been using my schools gym, but since I graduated I always have to talk my way in and am getting tired of doing that
 
You'll have to go to each one and check them out at the time of day you'll be going. See if they have the right equipment for you, and if it isn't hogged up all the time.

A good gym for you might be a crappy one for someone else.
