I own an Asus Radeon 9800 Pro and its stock cooling fans just died on me. What is the best graphics card cooling solution that is compatible with the Asus Radeon 9800 Pro and costs under $40? Thanks.

Here are some pics of my 9800 Pro:

Sounds great in theory, but most people donate their old cards to relatives or friends. A still useful card with no fan isn't very useful anymore. IMHO, still best to put the cheapest solution on it since it's still worth more than the cost of a cheap fan.

actually in my case they would seriously steal it had it not been looped by water. :p

But then again, my brother did take the best video card i ever owned. Dayam i really miss my 8800GTX running supreme commander on my old quad platform.

But, i would go with the 13 dollar fan as blink recomended. Putting anymore money on that is like trying to super charge a pinto. They were good back in the days, but now... *sigh*

and yeah a 6600GT would pwn the living hell out of that 9800pro

lol...classic...first thing I did was search for a 6600GT, but couldn't find one under $50.

That Rev. 3 will do ya. Didn't know they were compatible.

The PCIe one maybe, but a rebate from TD that's almost half the total value? You'll never get it ;)

Good to know though, I've got a buddy on AGP that wants a cheap upgrade.

If $$ isn't a concern, but noise is, get a Zalman ZM80C (or D), get some screws from a local hardware store, and attach a fan of your choice to it, using the groove meant for the official "optional" fan. I use an undervolted Nexus 92mm, and it literally is silent from my sitting position.
