Well, of course you don't care for GnR... You don't even like the genre.

So, what are you doing in this thread? (Or do you comment in every thread that you aren't interested in???)

 
I also like Metallica, ACDC, SOAD, Tool and countless other rock bands. I can go for rock just fine, but GnR is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

The list you posted first are the ones you really like. This sounds like a list designed to make your argument valid which you don't mind but still didn't like enough to include on your first list.

I'll agree on the Slash comment, because Kirk is incredibly overrated. But Metallica and GNR are two different styles of bands. Metallica was fast thrash metal, whereas GNR had a huge rythm and blues influence.

IMO, GNR was one of the best bands ever, by any measure. They made awesome music, had awesome musicians, sounded like themselves (so rare), and were on a completely different level than the rest of the garbage "hair bands" of the 80's. GNR could've been a Rolling Stones or an Aerosmith, except that the band just kind of fell apart. Too much infighting, I guess, and Axle was a bitch. But he has a great voice for the style of music.
