Best glass cleaner

I have a Sony CRT that has the flat glass screen and Windex leaves annoying streaks that I can see when the screen is dark.

Check out some car detailing sites. Some good brands are Stoners and Eagle One. The only thing make sure you get a glass cleaner, not a polish. Polishing your monitor doesn't bear thinking about. Oh, and check if there is an anti-glare coating, as a most things other than water will remove it.

Do not use Windex with nice CRT screens--I believe it can remove or damage the antiglare coating. Just use a soft, damp cloth, maybe with a tiny bit of soap if you have a lot of oily fingerprints to remove. Remember to keep a dry towel handy to keep the water from dripping down into the monitor cabinet.

And don't press hard when you clean, as you don't want to scratch the glass, just remove what's on it.
